Today I'm 1 month old. Since being born, I've gained 1lbs in weight and 1 inch in length.

Two weeks old

It’s hard to believe that it has already been 2 weeks since Avaina was born. Looking back on this short journey so far, we’ve had some long nights and many stinky diapers… but I’m loving every minute of it. Ava is a great baby! She is such an easy-going child and always seems to be happy. She rarely cries and is ok with going down in her crib awake. She never complains when I change her and oh yes, she loves having baths. I don’t think we could have asked for a better baby.

As I write this journal, Tara and Ava are both sleeping. Tara has been doing well the past two weeks and actually went to the gym to work-out earlier today. She is starting to get back into the swing of things. This job of being a mother seems to come naturally for her.

Despite being only 2 weeks old, Ava has already been in her first car accident. Don’t worry… it was just a small fender-bender. I parked outside the MJ Tim Hortons last Sunday and a guy trying to park beside us, hit our back bumper. This is our second such car accident in the last year. I think some of these Saskatchewan drives must have skipped Driver’s Education. Oh well, I guess I’ll keep taking our little car into the auto body shop.

I think I’ve said enough for one day. I’ll continue to post new pics of Ava over the coming weeks.
